Fast Fact No.1

There is a historic church called Holy Rosary Parish Church that was constructed during the Spanish colonial era (1877 to 1896), and it was built by the native Filipinos.


Fast Fact No.2

Angeles City was no longer part of the province of Pampanga. In August 2007, it was declared that the city was no longer a part of the province of Pampanga and became an autonomous component city of the Philippines.

There is a mansion called "Pamintuan Mansion" that was built in 1890, and it was used as a site of Katipunan and Antonio Luna during the Philippine-American war.

Before it was known as Angeles City, it was just a little community commanded by Don Angel Pantaleon de Miranda, Captain Mayor of San Fernando. It was given the name "Culiat" after a woody vine that grew abundantly in the area at the time. The Negrito Tribesman were the people who lived there.

Angeles City, Pampanga, has a distinct culture and a rich history. For foodies, it is the birthplace of sisig, a popular Filipino delicacy made of hog cheeks and chicken liver. The Tigtigan Terakan keng Dalan, an annual street party where local and famous musicians perform live music, is also well-known among partygoers.

The entire land area of Angeles City is 60.27 km2 (23.27 sq mi), and it is divided into numerous land uses such as residential (34.25 percent), agricultural (39.43 percent), commercial, industrial, institutional facilities, and parks (26.32 percent ). The city of Angeles is located in the province of Pampanga. Mabalacat City is on the north, Mexico is on the east, San Fernando is on the southeast, Bacolor is on the south, and Porac is on the southwest or west.
